Everything I do has a bit of humor. Maybe because the themes I work on are very tough and it's a way of trying to survive... When we talk about environmental issues, the climate crisis, and what people call human exceptionalism... This all brings a very deep anguish. And humor is a way... it's like a way to try to deal with these things. It's the anxieties being transformed... I use a lot of sarcasm and some irony... But I also can't escape bringing in some references, and dialogues with art history... I'm a nerd. This is all very me. Art was a way for me to deal with a series of issues that are important to me... So I think all of this is what will be called, at some point, poetics. In some moments people will perceive it with beauty, in others, with strangeness, they will speak with laughter... but deep down these are works that also bring great pain.
